I thought that the group presentation section was a good learning opportunity, and the methods for forming the groups was a good way to get people who may not normally work with one another out there to meet with and adapt to other working styles. Since in the real world you don't normally get to pick your group, so it is a good test to learn how to work with some other work styles.
The group project was a good first hand method to test out the task related roles, maintenance roles, procedural roles, and self centered roles and see which role each member may fit. I personally believe that i fit an information or opinion giver task related role. In maintenance roles I feel like I am between supporter and interpreter roles. I don't feel like i fit any procedural role that much, but i feel most like an expediter sometimes when i really want to or need to get the job done. I don't like to think that i file a self-centered role, but if I were to chose anything it would be withdrawing. When annoyed or frustrated I feel like I don't want to display those feelings so i just go to my own zone to cool off.

leadership - are leaders nessesary?
I got this thought from the final exam. I believe that leaders are necessary to create a functioning group. This can be anything from a single leader to a group of leaders. With no leader in a group nothing will take place. A leader does not necessarily take take full control of the whole group, but a leader or multiple leaders will have to step up to the task. Each person may have a different role to play, and even though they may not be telling others what to do, they are leading in some form by initiative.
This was a misconception that i had at the beginning of the year. At first i believed that a leader was someone who held power, authority, and people looked up to them for advise. I now realize that each and everyone of us is a leader in our own way. I have learned that a leader is someone who takes initiative, or does something out of the ordinary for either people around them or for themselves which is self leadership.

Leadership-motivation
I am writing this blog about motivation because that is what my group discussed in the final presentation this semester. In today's society intrinsically motivated people are very rare to come across; at least those who are primarily motivated intrinsically. Today's society is very driven by money as the primary motivator. Money is needed for everything, and money is needed to do anything. It is difficult to make a living without money and so the core of everyone's motivation is money. It is possible to enjoy your job and still be intrinsically motivated, but the core motivator is money.
I wish to learn to be more intrinsically motivated. It is the ideal form of motivation, because it allows to motivated person to enjoy their work and they work harder because they enjoy it or wish for the feeling that they did a good job. Sometimes i have been intrinsically motivated enough, or lacked that intrinsic motivation enough that i quit a job because it is not worth the money with the amount of annoyance I receive from working the job. There for my intrinsic motivation to want to enjoy the job over powers the extrinsic rewards i ma receive from the position.
